SQL/SSRS Support Analyst - Tessitura

 

Position Summary:

Jixaw Technologies, a Technical and Professional Services firm specializing in web development, database customization and professional services is seeking a highly skilled SQL/SSRS Support Analyst with deep knowledge of Tessitura, particularly in technical and functional configuration. This role is primarily a problem-solving position that involves creating solutions to client requirements based on project assignments. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a dynamic, continually evolving environment and can adapt to change. The candidate will develop stored procedures supporting API integrations, design custom reports, perform system analysis, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal application functionality, with a strong focus on data security and best practices. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • SQL and SSRS Development:
     
    • Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers to extract data from Tessitura and generate reports. 
    • Design, develop, and maintain custom reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Infomaker, enhancing existing report designs as needed. 
    • Troubleshoot report-related bugs and ensure smooth operation during system updates and new releases. 
    • Create and maintain database objects in SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), including tables, views, and stored procedures for reporting, web customization, and user support processes. 

  • API Integration and Solutions Development:
     
    • Develop API integrations to connect Tessitura with third-party platforms and ensure smooth, secure data transfer. 
    • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to create custom solutions that address specific project requirements. 
    • Troubleshoot and resolve API-related issues, optimizing for efficiency, scalability, and security. 
    • Implement security protocols and ensure API integrations follow industry best practices for data protection. 

  • System Monitoring and Best Practices:
     
    • Monitor applications for data quality, efficiency, operation, and integrity, addressing any issues proactively. 
    • Research, recommend, and implement best practices for maintaining and supporting Tessitura’s technical and functional infrastructure, with a focus on security awareness. 
    • Ensure the quality and security of new application releases by conducting testing and following release-to-production procedures. 

  • Project Assignments and Special Projects:
     
    • Investigate and implement special projects as assigned, diagnosing technical problems and delivering client-focused solutions. 
    • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring quality service, timely delivery, and adherence to security policies. 
    • Work collaboratively with stakeholders in the arts and culture sector to deliver business-critical projects. 

  • Functional and Technical Analysis:
     
    • Perform functional and technical analysis and configuration for Tessitura-related projects. 
    • Participate in the rollout of application software, system upgrades, and testing of new features, ensuring secure system operations. 
    • Conduct ad hoc data analysis, querying, and troubleshooting as required. 

  • Collaboration and Leadership:
     
    • Collaborate effectively with internal teams, external auditors, and a global team, ensuring smooth and secure operations. 
    • Liaise closely with third-party vendors and external partners to ensure successful integrations and project implementations. 
    • Provide technical direction and share knowledge with colleagues to ensure team success. 
    • Document technical processes and procedures for departmental reference and training purposes. 
    • Work independently in a virtual environment, prioritizing and managing a wide variety of tasks and projects. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience: 
    • Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred. 
    • 3+ years of experience working with Tessitura, including project management, technical analysis, and configuration in an IT setting. 
    • Strong experience with SSRS, Infomaker, and the Microsoft SQL Server Suite, including SSMS and MS Visual Studio. 
    • Tessitura experience is strongly preferred, along with experience working with arts/cultural software in an operational/business context. 
    • Excellent understanding of relational databases and SQL required. 
  • Technical Skills: 
    • Experience developing API integrations and creating solutions based on specific project needs, with a strong emphasis on security. 
    • Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, custom SSRS reports, and creating database objects. 
    • Ability to troubleshoot and debug database objects, reports, and API integrations to resolve technical issues. 
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving: 
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the flexibility to adapt to changing project needs. 
    • Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail. 
  • Communication and Collaboration: 
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical end-users. 
    • Ability to collaborate closely with external vendors and partners, ensuring project success. 
    • Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality service and meeting deadlines.
